CHAIRPERSONS OF OVIMUN VI
HUMAN RIGHTS COUNCIL (ENGLISH)
TOPIC A: HUMAN TRAFFIKING
Nicolas is a Master in Laws student, currently residing in Madrid while working as an English teacher. In his free time he enjoys participating in MUNs in all corners of the world, both to improve his knowledge of International Affairs and explore cities and countries in a different way. He has participated in OVImun and other simulations since 2013, as delegate, chair and organizer. The best type of party for him is when everyone has some nice wine and debates endlessly about how to end worldwide problems.
Ana-Ly is a third-year student of International Relations at Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. The first time she participated at a Model of United Nations was while she was a fresher at college. Since then she has gone through 5 different MUNs, one of them joining as well the organization of itself and other as a delegate at WorldMUN 2016. After representing China and Russia, now she decided to be the ruling voice in the room. She is really concern about Human Rights, as she had touch this topic in different MUNs before, and also had some previous experience in a student association which aim was helping both students and civilians in need. Be careful with her, even though she has left the red flags at home, her blood still has the revolutionary spirit from her previous representation countries.
TOPIC B: RELIGIOUS TEACHING AND SYMBOLS AT SCHOOLS
Andrea is a 20 years old student majoring International Studies at Carlos III University, and Law at UNED. Her first approach to Model United Nations was five years ago at high school, ever since then she has attended more than 15 models -in over 4 countries- as Staff, Delegate, Chair, Secretary General and Secretariat. She cannot tell if her love for MUNs is because of all the places you get to see, the abilities you get or the friends you make, but since the very first time her passion for these conferences has never stopped growing. Charing the Human Rigths Council in OVIMUN will be a new challenge for her, a new experience to dicover, to learn, to improve, but most importantly, to have fun.
Isabel Martínez is currently studying a Dual Degree in Law and Political Science. Isabel has been extremely involved in University life and activities, being the founder of other political culture-related societies and an active organizer of debate and guest speaker lectures. Since she joined the Board at the 2015/16 course as Secretary of her MUN Society, Isabel has been actively involved in the day-to-day logistics of running it, keeping track of all the activities. To her, exchanging ideas with people from different nationalities, making lifelong friends all over the world and working together to make this planet a better place is what MUN is all about.
